Xie Qingxiu,Henan Province, Xunxian. Government worker Xie Qingxiu, worked in the Poverty Alleviation Bureau as an officer of the county. Xie found his supervisor to be corrupt, so he began an investigation and spoke with farmers. Xie discoverd that farmers did not receive appropriate rescue money, poverty alleviation, or natural disaster funds. Xie then confronted his supervisor over what he had uncovered. However, unknown to Xie at the time, his supervisor was actually the one stealing the funds. Xie's supervisor collaborated with the public prosecutor and charged him with fraud and corruption, fabricating evidence against him. Xie spent fours year in jail on corruption charges. During his incarceration his home was lost. Supervisor and collaborators were never charged and Xie has not been fully compensated.
